The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) on the other hand, are twice as big and at least twice as scary and have been known to eat humans, while the BFG prefers Snozzcumber and Frobscottle. Upon her arrival in Giant Country, Sophie, a precocious 10-year-old girl from London, is initially frightened of the mysterious giant who has brought her to his cave, but soon comes to realize that the BFG is actually quite gentle and charming, and, having never met a giant before, has many questions. The BFG brings Sophie to Dream Country where he collects dreams and sends them to children, teaching her all about the magic and mystery of dreams. Having both been on their own in the world up until now, their affection for one another quickly grows, but Sophie’s presence in Giant Country has attracted the unwanted attention of the other giants, who have become increasingly more bothersome. Sophie and the BFG soon depart for London to see the Queen (Penelope Wilton) and warn her of the precarious giant situation, but they must first convince the Queen and her maid, Mary (Rebecca Hall), that giants do indeed exist. Together, they come up with a plan to get rid of the giants once and for all.

  • The $47,000 Wedding Mistake: How Money Control Transforms Your Reception Into Real Estate

There are a lot of things that go into wedding planning, and a lot of details that you need to sort out in order to make your big day the event of your dreams. But there are also a few reasons why money should be in control of your planning. Continue reading to learn more.
    1. Set a Budget So You Don’t Go Overboard
Setting a budget will essentially set the foundation for your entire wedding planning process. Without a solid budget in place, you simply won’t know how much you can afford and how much you need to save in order to have the event you’ve always wanted. If you don’t set a budget, it will be easy to book vendors and a venue that are out of your means, and this will result in unpaid bills and debt as soon as you enter your marriage. Since financial stress can really tax any marriage, it’s important to make it a point to set a budget so you know you’ll be able to pay off all of your expenses right away.
    2. Choosing Vendors Requires Judgement
When you choose the appropriate wedding venue for your style, needs, and budget, they may end up giving you a list of recommended vendors that you can use. These could include everything from DJ companies, to bakeries for your cake, photographers, and videographers. You may be tempted to go with these vendors because they’re recommended, but when you let money rule the choices that you make for your wedding, you’ll likely find that, if you search elsewhere, you’ll locate great quality vendors at lower prices. This is because recommended vendors often have to give the venue a share of the money they make, which means their prices may be higher than their competition.
    3. Look for Savings Wisely
Another reason why you should let money be in control of your planning is because it sets you in a frame of mind to look for the best deals. There are many opportunities available to save money on everything you need for your wedding, from the florist to your gown. If you search for wedding savings, you won’t only be able to stick to your budget, you may even come in under budget, which means you’ll have more money left over to take a fantastic honeymoon, buy your first home, or save up to start a family.
    4. Resist the Temptation to Hire a Planner
A wedding planner might be a great investment for busy couples, but planners can be expensive. If you follow your budget, you may find that you don’t have the money to hire a planner. But have no fear, as hiring the vendors yourself isn’t as difficult as it may seem, and if you book the right venue, they’ll have a planner on hand to make sure every aspect of your day goes smoothly.
As you can see, there are many reasons why you should let money be in control of your planning. With the tips above, you can save money and have the wedding you want.
