I can still remember the day I opened my first phone…I was a senior in high school and drove a 78 camero which had a gas gauge that was broken as well as other various issues, so my parents surprised me that Christmas with my first phone…a cell phone that was as big as today’s house phones! My friend was over and about deafened me with her scream. She seemed to be more excited than I was.
I’ve always been a tech geek and was excited to have it…although for you youngins, all my phone did was talk and basic messaging…you know had to hit 1 three times to get a C…yea, archaic stuff huh? Phones have come such a long way and since they do SO much more now and are more prominent in today’s lifestyles, I need a plan that can keep up with myself and my tech-heavy users…my boys!

My family uses an insane amount of data…my boys and their gaming, music & movies, my husband is always on pandora or ifunny and myself…well social media is my battery and data drainer. Most plans we’ve been on have 2-5 gigs of data which for some of us doesn’t go far…My oldest is in track and uses his phone to listen to music while he runs and my other three LOVE to use my phone keep busy in the stands.
Since there are 3 of us (currently) with phones and another coming of age where he will need one I need something that can keep up with my data hogs as well as be budget friendly. Walt Disney Records announces the Elena of Avalor soundtrack EP available today, July 22. The EP features 7 songs from the highly anticipated Disney Channel animated series “Elena of Avalor” which premieres tonight, July 22 (7:00-8:00 p.m., EDT). The theme song “Elena of Avalor” is performed by Gaby Moreno and Elena’s anthem “My Time” is performed by Aimee Carrero, the voice of Princess Elena.
In addition to singing the theme song, Gaby Moreno will also voice a guest role in the series. Born in Guatemala, Moreno performs her music, which ranges from blues to jazz to soul to R&B, in both English and Spanish. In addition to winning the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2013, Moreno was nominated for an Emmy® Award for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music in 2010 for co-writing the theme song to “Parks and Recreation.”

Buffalo Chicken Steamed Dumplings · curly parsley 3 tablespoons · crumbled blue cheese ½ cup · buffalo style hot sauce, like Frank’s 1 cup 1. In a medium bowl mix first 9 ingredients together by hand until evenly combined. 2. Assemble dumplings by placing wonton wrapper on a flat surface. 3. Roll a small ball of the chicken mixture between your hands, about a tablespoon, and place in the center of the wonton wrapper. 4. Dip a finger in a cup of water and run it around the edges of the wrapper. 5. Pick up wrapper and chicken ball with one hand (between your thumb and index finger) and begin pinching hard around the wrapper until it tightly wraps the chicken ball. Re-pinch if necessary. Your dumplings should be star-shaped with the chicken ball in the center. 6. Spray your IMUSA steaming basket with non-stick spray and place dumplings throughout. Steam for 10 minutes until fully cooked. 7. In the meantime make hot sauce by gently heating it with the butter. 8. Spoon some hot sauce on a plate and place dumplings on top. Garnish with more crumbled blue cheese, if desired. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Basil Pineapple Fried Rice · cooked cold white rice 2 cups · soy sauce 3 tablespoons · garlic cloves (minced) 3 · medium red onion (chopped) 1 · canned pineapple chunks, drained (about 1 ½ Cups) 10 ounces · fresh basil (finely chopped) 1 cup 1. Combine sugar and soy sauce and set aside. 2. Heat your IMUSA wok on high heat and add 2 tablespoons oil to wok, then tilt the wok to swirl oil, coating the sides. Once the oil begins to smoke, stir-fry the garlic and red onions for one minute and set aside in a bowl. 3. Add 4 more tablespoons of oil and crumble rice into wok. Stir-fry for 5 minutes with a flat wooden spatula until lightly browned, breaking up lumps of rice. 4. Push rice to the side of wok and in the center add another tablespoon of oil. Add scrambled eggs and scramble until eggs are completely cooked and crumbled. 5. Mix together with rice and add cooked garlic and onions. Drizzle in soy sauce mixture and stir-fry for two more minutes. Add pineapple, peas, and cashews and mix evenly. 6. Remove from heat and mix in chopped basil. Garnish with extra basil before serving.

Your baby might be ready for solids if he/she
Sits up alone, without assistance
Consistently seems hungry after a full feeding
Shows interest in or grabs at your food
Can refuse food by turning head
Has outgrown reflex to spit out solid food
My Sparkling Life recommends introducing one food at a time, waiting at least 3-4 days before introducing another food. Watch closely for adverse reactions such as excessive gas, diarrhea, vomiting or a rash. If there is a reaction, discontinue food and wait at least 2 more weeks before reintroducing the food.
Apple Sauce
3 medium-sized apples (Red or Golden Delicious)
½ cup water
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Peel and chop apples into cubes (about a 1 inch), discarding the core. Place apples in sauce pan with water and cinnamon and simmer on medium-low heat until apples are tender – approximately 10-12 minutes.
Once apples are tender, all contents of pan (including liquid) to food processor. Puree until smooth. Add water if necessary.
Dispense apple puree evenly into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. When ice cubes are frozen, remove cubes from tray and store in a resealable plastic freezer bag or freezer container. Label package with contents and date. Use within 1 month. Before serving, let thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
Pears
2-3 ripe medium-sized pears
½ cup water
Chop pears into squares (about a ¼ inch), discarding the peel and core. Place pears in sauce pan with water and simmer on medium-low heat until pears are tender – approximately 10-12 minutes.
Once pears are tender, all contents of pan (including liquid) to food processor. Puree until smooth. Add water if necessary.
Dispense pear puree evenly into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. When ice cubes are frozen, remove cubes from tray and store in a resealable plastic freezer bag or freezer container. Label package with contents and date. Use within 1 month. Before serving, let thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
Peaches
3 medium-sized ripe peaches
½ cup water
Cut peaches in half, removing pit. Place fruit flesh-side down into pan and add water. Simmer fruit on medium-low heat until thoroughly tender and skin peels easily from flesh – about 10-12 minutes. Once cool to the touch, remove skin.
After skin is removed, add fruit and liquid to a food processor and puree until completely smooth. Add more water if necessary.
Dispense peach puree evenly into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. When ice cubes are frozen, remove cubes from tray and store in a resealable plastic freezer bag or freezer container. Label package with contents and date. Use within 1 month. Before serving, let thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
Bananas
Bananas actually qualify as a white fruit, despite its bright yellow exterior. Banana sweet flavor and smooth texture provide for a perfect first food.
Mash ripe banana with a fork until smooth. Serve immediately.
