Arctic Force Ninja Costume -Review-

We all know those green mutant ninjas that hopped out of the sewers, stole our hearts & our pizza back in the 80’s, and just like anything they have evolved and become an icon for the that parents can bond with their children over. My littlest guy is just getting into Ninja Turtles and was so excited when he saw the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-Sprints from Playmates Toys show up the other day!
These tiny little figures each come with their own car. Rev them up over and over then release them and watch them go, or release them into a car and create your very own soap box derby in your home.
The “cars” themselves are made of a lightweight hollow plastic and have no moving parts. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figures feature a unique flywheel so kids can just rev, drop and go! That’s all I’ve been hearing lately is revving and “go, go, go!”… They are also the perfect size for him to take with him out and about.
At under $5 each, these are the PERFECT for easter basket stuffers! Leave them in the packaging or take them out and stuff them in an egg for a fun surprise.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS arrives in theaters everywhere on December 18th!

Over the years more and more companies are going green. One that recently caught my eye is Little Twig and Eco-Me. Little Twig boasts a great line of natural body and skincare products for the whole family, and Eco Me provides wonderful natural cleaning solutions.

I received the Calming Lavender Baby Wash and Baby Lotion to review. I love using lavender for little mans baths because it’s so soothing for the both of us, which makes it great if your bedtime routine consists of bath time. It helps promote relaxation, so using it during baby’s bath time right before bed helps to encourage a good night’s sleep. The Baby Wash is made with an organic blend of essential oils and mild foam, with a formula of skin-softening vitamin E that’s gentle enough for newborns. It’s also free from phthalates, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, and parabens. The Baby Lotion nourishes dry and troubled skin with vitamin E, jojoba oil, and tea tree oil. It is also free from phthalates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances, as well as mineral oils, nuts, soy, and wheat ingredients.
I love using both of these products! I love that their formulas are so gentle while also being incredibly effective. The lavender scent is nice and not over whelming. I think this set would be great for everyone, and if lavender isn’t your thing, Little Twig has more scents to choose from, plus an unscented line for those who can’t handle scents like my grandmother!
Eco Me is certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny, meaning they have no animal testing or bi-products during any stage of the product’s creation. They were founded in 2006 with the goal of removing unnecessary harmful chemicals from the home. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stated that the air in our homes is three to seven times more chemically polluted than the outdoor air, and the average home contains as many as 25 pounds of toxic cleaning products. With Eco Me, you can effectively clean your home without having to worry about releasing pollutants into the air.
I received their Dish Soap in Lemon Fresh, which is naturally-sudsing and made with glycerin and natural plant extracts. It’s free from dyes, colorants, harsh preservatives, and sulfates. What it does contain is natural ingredients and plant essential oils, and the bottle is PET#1 BPA-free. Other ingredients include water, coconut-derived soap (a natural surfactant), sodium lauroyl lactylate (a natural, food-grade emulsifier), caprylyl capryl glucoside (a plant-based solubilizer), radish root for antimicrobial benefits, potassium sorbate (a food-grade preservative), and cymbopogon flexuosus oil (lemongrass oil). This works incredibly well to clean up grease and other messes and has a great lemon scent. It lathers up just as well as a non-natural soap, but it’s so much better for you and your household because it’s free from all of those bad chemicals that other cleaners have. But while it contains food-grade and plant-based ingredients, the law requires them to provide a caution warning. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid eye contact. If contact occurs, flush with water. If swallowed, drink water and contact a physician.
If you’re looking take your cleaning routine green this year, adding Little Twig and Eco Me to your lineup of skincare and household cleaners is a great way to do it! I loved all of the products and would highly recommend them based on their efficacy and their ingredients.

Summer is no joke down here is south Texas! It’s already been over the 100* mark a multitude of times. We can wake up and leave the house before the sun rises and you will still walk outside and start sweating. Goodie bags are a birthday party staple that seems to be here to stay – and a nice way to let your little guests know even though the party is over, they can continue to have fun at home! However, year after year, it becomes challenging to find new and creative ideas for those birthday party goody-bags. This year, PBS KIDS has a perfect addition, On March 17, PBS KIDS released the appropriately themed “WordWorld Birthday Party!” on DVD.
My boys just love following their favorite WordWorld friends on all their adventures, but this DVD seemed to be packed full of extra fun and excitement for them. I mean what kid doesn’t love a birthday party, and what mom doesn’t like a little bit of learning in disguised as fun!
This fun-filled DVD includes multiple birthday-themed adventures, the first of which, “Happy Birthday, Dog,” features a surprise party for WordWorld’s friendly canine. Can Frog get the C-A-K-E safely to Dog’s party? Also included on this DVD is “Bit by Bit.” In this story Frog is not feeling well and entrusts Duck and Bug to take his present, a B-A-N-A-N-A, to Monkey’s birthday party. When they accidentally break the banana into letters, Elephant steps in and teaches them to build the banana back, bit by bit.
Join the lovable WordFriends for these and other educational adventures as they playfully demonstrate the connections between letters, sounds, words, and meaning in order to empower children to advance from learning letters to learning how to read.
“WORDWORLD: BIRTHDAY PARTY!” is available on DVD NOW. The DVD run time is approximately 75 minutes and its SRP is $6.99.

“Happy Birthday, Dog” It’s Dog’s birthday and all of his friends are planning a surprise party. There’s just one problem – they need a cake! Frog must get to the party safely without Dog finding out.

“Pig’s Present” It’s Pig’s birthday and his nephews, the Three Little Pigs, are making him a secret present. Although Pig promises not to peek, his curiosity about his present gets the better of him…and wreaks havoc all over WordWorld. Will Pig ever learn to be patient?
Build a Word: JET
“The Rainbow Birthday Cake” It is Frog’s birthday, and Duck wants to make him a big, beautiful birthday cake frosted in the colors of the rainbow. Such a cake requires lots of cans of frosting, and Duck learns he can’t just throw cans anywhere – they must be recycled. In WordWorld, recycling means using the letters in a discarded word to make other words, such as can-dle, which is just what Duck needs for Frog’s cake!
Build a Word: CANDLE
“Bit by Bit” It is Monkey’s birthday, and a sick Frog entrusts Duck and Bug to take his present – a banana – to Monkey’s birthday party for him. In their enthusiasm to get to the party, Duck and Bug accidentally break the banana into letters…and they don’t know how to rebuild it! It’s just too big a word. Fortunately Elephant knows a thing or two about big words, and teaches them to build the banana back, bit by bit, based on the three syllables in the word.
Build a Word: BANANA
“Bugs to the Rescue!” Ant and Dog build a hot-air balloon, but Dog accidentally floats away in it! Ant elicits the help of his insect WordFriends Bug, Bee and Fly to rescue Dog and save the day.
