With my boys getting older, and needing to get online for school work, and my blogging…having 2 older laptops isn’t cutting it anymore. We have 2 older laptops, but they have both gotten a little temperamental with age, So I’ve been thinking about upgrading for the holidays. My grandmother ordered my first one on the phone, but now they’re available at Walmart so I can just walk in a walk out without the long delivery wait.

I am very excited to share with you that Marvel Studios is launching the first Hero Acts campaign today, and from now until the end of the year, Marvel Studios will donate five dollars ($5) to Save the Children, up to U.S. one million dollars, for every fan who uploads a photo of themselves in their favorite Marvel hero pose. Marvel Studios is collaborating with Fotition, a new social change platform, to power the experience on a brand-new website MarvelStudiosHeroActs.com. Fans will be able to visit the site to upload their photo and choose from a selection of custom Marvel-themed overlays. They will then be able to post their photo directly to the Hero Acts gallery and to their other social channels using the hashtags #marvelstudios & #heroacts.

Disney Finds Leading Men For Live Action Beauty And The Beast ⋆ My Sparkling Life

So I shared with you about a month ago the big announcement from Emma Watson that she would be playing Belle in Disney’s upcoming live action version of Beauty And The Beast…I’ve been so stoked and had a few speculations on who might play the Beast & Gaston..but these two were never on my radar. I think they made pretty good choices though!
The Hollywood Reporter, reported 2 days ago that Dan Stevens, who you might know from Downton Abbey and the movie The Guest, is in negotiations to play opposite Emma Watson as the Beast.
They also revel that Luke Evans, who you know from Dracula, Immortals, & The Raven amongst others, is in talks to play the other leading role Gaston.
Beauty & The Beast continues Disney’s plan of taking some of its animated classics and turning them into live-action phenomenons. Cinderella, is the latest — it opens March 13 — and is already generating great reviews.
Last year’s Maleficent, Disney’s live-action take on Sleeping Beauty, made $758.4 million worldwide..so I guess you can say the world is in deed loving the live action fairy tales!
