With Halloween right around the corner we think about two things…Candy & Costumes! With three boys we are always invited to some sort of Halloween get together…I recently had the opportunity to do a costume review from HalloweenCostumes.com. I let my oldest pick out an outfit to review…there was so many choices we were litterly looking and deciding for over an hour! He ended up deciding on a Ninja outfit…then it was down to 10 different ninja outfits… finally we picked the perfect one… i thought us girls took a while to pick an outfit..lol…He ended up picking the Kids Arctic Force Ninja Costume. He was super excited and couldn’t wait for it to come in! Every knock at the door, and every package he was like “is it mine?!” Finally came HIS package…he couldn’t wait to tear it open and try it on…he was even more excited at the fact that it came just in time for the Halloween School function that night! I really like the fast shipping, you just don’t get that a lot these days! The costume is made of a quality fabric, and fits him well. I’m sure after all the parties and trick-or-treating is done it will still have many more days of around the house play! I’m sure my middle one will be able to wear it next year which always make a mom of multiple children happy…

I was always a IOS person, I had an android phone in the past and absolutely hated it…I had an iPod touch that I loved until my hubby bought me an iPad, and I was completely happy for 2 years, that is until I received my Samsung Tab S this past Christmas.
I confess, I didn’t want to love it, but I did what I was supposed to do and review it for you guys (you can find that here). Well after two weeks of use, I gave up my iPad for the Samsung Tab S, I was over it and here is why
Customizability. I love organizing, and while on IOS you can create folders & maybe make a page for certain things, with the Samsung Tab S & Android its so much more! Widgets, folders, and you don’t even have to see every app you have if you don’t want to! My front page has my most used apps, while the page to the right contains the weather widget & my library widget, easy to flip over and look at the weather or access my reading materials. Then my left page consists of my calendar, office, and email. I love the clean look and easy access to my everyday apps.
Usefullness. When I received the Samsung Tab S there were several offers for FREE apps including Hancom Office, Scrapbook, S Note and many others. Hancome office comes with HWord, HCell (spreadsheet) & HShow (presentation). Scrapbook is great for organizing webpages, photos & screenshots…& the S Note is great for, well taking Notes, with keyboard or handwriting. Plus you can do two things at once with Multi-window, like watch a music video and look up the lyrics or read an email and edit a presentation. Opening two windows or apps at the same time gives you the ability multitask and get things done faster than ever before. Then there is the Ultra Power Saving Mode that keeps you connected even when your battery is critically low. It works by turning your screen to black and white and shuts off nonessential apps, so your device still works when you need it most. I haven’t had to use it yet, but you never know!
Portability. Like i said I had the iPad for 2 years prior, and yes I tote it with me..if you’ve ever carried one with you, it’s fairly heavy, I know they’ve come out with an air, I bought one for my grandmother…but I can literally pick up the Samsung Tab S with two fingers and hold it in one hand (comes in handy when your multi tasking). It fits comfortably in my purse and being less than 1lb it doesn’t add a noticeable weight to my purse.
Family Friendly. Yes, I share my tablet with my kiddos. With Multi User Mode, everyone in the family can create a private and personalized tablet experience that can be secured with the fingerprint scanner. And for those wanting to keep the little ones entertained, Kids Mode lets you customize playtime and apps with parental controls. I love all the learning apps that are available now days, and my little guy loves watching his shows whenever he likes. Unlike the IOS, Samsung has a designated “app” that collects all the apps you choose to have for your child and password protects the home button so there is no way they can get into your stuff. It gives me piece of mind when he’s on there that he’s not facebooking someone or emailing a pr rep. some gibberish.
I know some people are die-hard IOS fans, I used to think I was one. We still have the iPad and an iPad mini that my husband and the kids use. For now I’m extremely happy with my Samsung Tab S 8.4.
