While in LA I had the opportunity to screen the new Fairies movie Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast. I was so excited to see the new Fairies movie as Tinkerbell has been on of my faves for as long as I can remember. The minds behind these movies never cease to take you on an amazing adventure. Every movie takes you further into life in Pixie Hollow…this time we get to take a further look into the life of Fawn, & the Animal Talent Fairies.
When an interstellar event happens that the Fairies had never seen, it awakens a beast that only Fawn (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) can begin to understand. The Neverbeast has some amazing animation that was created from the bones out so that every aspect of the beast was more realistic.
The story line keeps you guessing from the start to the end…you can guess, but really have no clue as to what the Neverbeast is and why he’s there. Why is he building these towers? What it’s purpose? How is he connected to the interstellar event and why does it happen every thousand years?
Everyone in Pixie Hollow has grown to fear the unknown beast, but Fawn can’t help but help the needy whether big or small, and it’s this love and curiosity that leads her on the adventure of a lifetime. Joined by her Pixie Hollow friends and a few new never before seen Scout Fairies, led by Nix, this movie brings laughs, adventure, danger and plenty of tears. It’s a movie the whole family will want to see!

The Egglo product line includes glow-in-the-dark Easter eggs, a book, an audio book, Scripture Scrolls, stickers and more. You can buy all parts of the Egglo product line separately to cater to your needs. These would be great for celebrating at home or larger celebrations at church or Sunday school, daycare, Vacation Bible School and more!! Egglo Entertainment products can be adapted to work with any age, but I would say ages 5-12 would be ideal so that the message gets across, although glow in the dark eggs are fun at any age!
Egglo sent me a pack of eggs, the adventure book, the curriculum, Easter stickers, Easter character stickers, scroll stickers, and scrolls. Before we started the hunt we read the Adventure book and discussed the meaning of the Egglo eggs and Easter. To get the eggs ready, I had them in the window the whole day soaking in the sunlight! I put one of each item into the eggs, and hid them around the house.
Our Egglo eggs stayed super bright for at least 30 minutes. Like I said I used the sun, but you can use incandescent light as well, but sunlight is recommended for the best results. There was residual glow for a really long time after the egg hunt, at least and hour or more! They loved the tiny little scrolls! I think they were their favorite trinket in the eggs..They are really cute miniature scrolls with shortened Bible verses on them.
The kids actually continued to play even after the excitement of the early egg hunt wore off…The book, The Egg-cellent Easter Adventure was great too. It was a little long, (so my 4yr old didn’t stay too engaged with me) but had a great message. The kids loved the vibrantly illustrated pages and the characters that they could relate to. I loved that they connected the Easter egg hunt to the gospel of Jesus! It kept the kids entertained for sure while teaching such an important lesson!
The program guide is downloadable and would be great for churches or group events. The guide has lots of ideas for activities, decorations, and snacks as well as instructions and printable favors. You could easily use this curriculum guide to make your celebration of Easter one the kids will remember for all the right reasons.

When you’re looking to turn your life around, it is widely known that you have to experience the very pits of life before you can climb out the other side. When we looking for that almighty purpose in life, the one major obstruction is, very simply, ourselves. Our mental health can stop us doing the things we want to do, choosing the path that we should take in life, and can threaten to envelop us in every way. And if you’re someone who has struggled with your own mental health for so long, there are always tools out there to help you, but if these aren’t producing the desired outcome, what can you do to get you on the right path?
Achieving Perspective
We’re all individual, and if we get a better understanding of our own mental anguish, especially in comparison to what others are going through, it gives you a more inherent understanding of how best to beat it (or live with it) or a sense of perspective. It can be sobering to see exactly how we rank in the pecking order of mental anguish. And yes, this isn’t a solution for everyone, but when we begin to walk that road to wellness, the combination of the appropriate tools, as well as that ability to gain perspective, not just of oneself, but of others, can be the key to improving your life. For example, counselors and psychiatrists are actively encouraged to go through the therapy process themselves, not just so they have a clear palate, but they have gone through the process of dissecting their own emotions, no matter how painful they are. This might be something that inspires you, not just in terms of improving your quality of life, but as a worthwhile career choice. There are numerous Christian psychology colleges, online courses, and resources available to provide you with that training.
Preparing For Battle
Numerous people have referred to mental health problems, depression, and anxiety, as a constant struggle or battle. When we’re looking at fixing our own mental health issues, the term “battle” may feel loaded with connotations. But much like an addict is an addict for life, even if you feel the Black Dog has gone for a walk, it could very well come back. Now, not to say that we should live in the shadow of fear, but it’s about using the times when we are out of the shadow to prepare our minds, just on the off chance it returns.
It is a long journey, but it’s one that we can all learn to navigate. Now, the mental health discussion is more prominent than ever, but while there are some still reticent to talk about it, if those of us who haven’t addressed our mental health issues, achieving perspective and learning the tools to engage in battle can mean we will understand how best to control it.
