As you can probably guess, my little guys have a love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it started with the original movies & cartoons…so when it comes to the new movies they were so excited to see new movies that have more action and adventures to offer. When they aren’t watching the movies they enjoy acting them out and playing with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie toys. The new TMNT2 toys are awesomely detailed and provide hours of imaginative play for my little guys.
Playmates Toys has introduced a new collection of products inspired by the upcoming film from Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon Movies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The Collection of movie toys is available now at retailers nationwide! It includes a broad assortment of products for Turtles’ fans of all ages, including action figures, vehicles, playsets, role play gear and more!
They still love playing with their t-sprints they received for Easter, and were excited when they received a few action figures from Playmates Toys the other day! We received Basic Movie Michelangelo & Basic Movie Shredder…they both have fun detail and come with unique accessories. Michelangelo comes with his nunchucks and a hoverboard & Shredder comes dressed in his movie inspired outfit & some removable arm blades.
When my boys are playing there is plenty of action packed fun! Shredder & Michelangelo do NOT like eachother…lol…they can not even “rest” in the same toy bin. Of course growing up with TMNT, my husband and I feel the need to complete the collection for this movie…come on, they have Casey Jones, April O’Neil & Bebop & Rocksteady! I’m really not sure who’s more excited about the line…but I do know who will play with them more…

As you already know, The world’s biggest pop band One Direction debuts a limited-edition cosmetics collection by Markwins International! The line, named The Looks Collection, will consist of three kits inspired by the band’s three albums, “Up All Night,” “Take Me Home,” and “Midnight Memories.” I received the Up All Night kit… – this post is sponsored by Brandbacker and Markwins , however all opinions are 100% my own – It comes in a reusable tin keepsake box with a grey brick design. The tin is swaddled in a clear plastic sleeve that features an image of all five boys…the back shows all the cosmetics contained in the tin and their ingredients. Remembering back to my teen years (the target audience) I loved having places to stash things, and this reusable tin is perfect for that, and I love that they didn’t litter the design with all the writing, but used the plastic sleeve for that instead!
When you open up the tin, you will see ideas on how to use the products on the inside cover and the products laied out on the right side. The products kept with the overall bold and brick design… The eyeliner came as a jumbo pencil with a black brick designed barrel, blue end cap, and a clear cap. Glides on easily, but also smears easily. The eye shadow had a simi-clear lid with brick design, black plastic base, and a mini brush duo.
The lip gloss came in a rectangular shape bottle with a built-in wand on the brick designed cap. loved the color and the easy application The lipstick came in a black rectangular tube with a clear base that shows the color of the lipstick. The color is a simple soft pink even though it looks bright in the tube. The only complaint I have is the lipstick its self didn’t seem to be placed in the tube too well and wiggled around in the tube leaving a mess..I could even pull it out of the tube no problem. The mascara came in a slim black tube with a simple wand. loved the mascara, a simple black, doesn’t smudge easily. The nail polish comes in a rectangular bottle with a black plastic cap. The nail polish didn’t take long to dry, but I had to apply 4 applications before it was thick enough to not be see through. The stencils are made from flimsy plastic which can easily be ripped. I wasn’t sure what these were for other than to take with you to doodle in your note books..I couldn’t see putting any of these designs on my face (than again I’m not a teen anymore!)

The other day we had a surprise delivery from Universal Publicity…I couldn’t wait to open it and see what was inside this mystery package. To what would my wondering eyes should appear, but an Evil Bratt lunch box, matching thermos & Despikipedia page…All of these clues told me this must be from Despicable Me 3!
So who is Evil Bratt?
Balthazar Bratt is a former child actor and TV star. He became an international sensation during the 1980’s, starring as the title character in the hit TV show Evil Bratt (1985-1987). Despite high ratings, the show was famously pulled off the air before the end of it’s third season when Bratt hit puberty and literally outgrew the role.
Bratt was last seen in 1989 outside a newsstand in Hollywood, California when a tourist caught him on tape ripping up tabloid magazines with his face on the cover. According to the footage, Bratt was wearing a version of the costume his character wore on Evil Bratt, his hair still styled in the iconic Evil Bratt mullet.
Amazingly, Bratt never resurfaced publicly after that incident and all accounts of his whereabouts seem to have been erased or destroyed.
I love that this one has a villain stuck in the 80’s! Being an 80’s child I’m excited to see what nostalgia they bring into the movie. Along with this 80’s throwback villain, we will also be introduced to Gru’s long lost twin brother Dru which should make things even more interesting.

Talk about a moving and emotional story! I’m still fortunate enough to have my mother with me; this book is just a heart breaker. I read this book in two sittings, captured by Lois’ honesty and vulnerability and the sincerity of her desire to understand her mother as well as herself as her mother’s daughter. Lois opens her heart and provides the reader a view inside the strong emotions accompanying her journey through her mothers bout with breast cancer. It is hard to read the book without feeling her pain and traveling along with her on her journey to peace. Such a wonderful, candid record of the need for love between mother and daughter. By having the courage to record her feelings and then artistically pull them together into The Last Violet, Lois has opened a door to the heart for all daughters. They must make the decision on whether to fight for their lives and continue living or withdrew from life altogether and consign themselves to die. Her understanding of herself and at her mother’s decision not to fight her cancer makes us all realize how precious life is and why we must hold to it if our natures allowed us to.
